Chinese Food Philosophy.
One thing you might not know about PG: It produces the worst chinese food. EVER. I'm not a purest, now, either. I'll eat from food courts once in a while, and I'll get take-out from resturants knowing that they're not the best in town. However, every single time I have eaten chinese food in this town, it has been heinous. Seriously. And there are at least fifteen resturants. The food courts in Abotsford have better chinese food. I suspect this phenomena is fueled by low standards: if you're only trying to equal or graze the middle of the road, well, that's uh, pretty easy to do. Because it's easier for everyone if the middle of the road standards are low, isn't it? This is true everywhere: work places, some churches, def. schools... on both the teaching and learning ends, probably. Although I can only speak as a keener student.
Chinese-food Life Philosophy only gets you so far. However, it is an intersting little phenomena. There is a great Japanese place, a pretty decent Thai place, and an AMAZING Vietnamese place; that's my love. (Anyone who can do what they do to Tofu gets my undying admiration.) So it's not like PG is unable to handle Asian food.
I leave in twelve days. It's time to get packing. Someone else will be living here in september. It makes me a bit nervous. Not only will I have to find somewhere else to live, I will have a different life, and a different bus stop -- someone else will be living here and doing the things I do. Will teh boy hit on her, to? Maybe he will like her better, and they will last. But I've decided, that I don't want him. At all. Still. It'll be weird.
