A real update.

So here I am two weeks later. I am alive and actually liking this place. Take that everyone who said it would suck. (What does suck, however, is having to spend 12.00 on a box of tampons because they are the ONLY tampons in town, or 5.00 on a cheap-ass bottle of shampoo for similar reasons.. I brought mostly everything I needed but not EVERYTHING, you know?).
I work between 28-40 hours a week, making between 230-330 a week. It's not the highest paying job I could have but it's the hardest working I could have without losing my mind. I don't think I'm cut out for gruling labour. I'm just too lazy.

I haven't been to cburch here. Yet. I'm too scared. And a lot of the people are very "Christian heritage party" and "I can't believe they come to MY church". What can I say? It's very small town. But I try to stay close to God. I need to, in my line of work. Hell, he probably shops at the Shop and Go -- it's the only place in town.

Tomorrow I am driving out to telegraph creek with Sonja and her family. We're taking my first daytrip out of town! Yay :). Today I took a walk down to Alan lake; friday there is a bar-b-q run by the lions. If I am not working sunday, we're going to have a bonfire at the lake, which has hid for me for three weeks. I had an oppertunity to go swimming today with everyong. I passed. Leaches, and mostly ice, turned me off.
Everyone is wearing tshirts and whinging about how hot it is. It is sunny though, and a roasting 14 degrees.
I stay out late and drive around and be a hooligan. It's new for me. I feel "bad ass". And yes, I am aware that putting that in quotes makes it lame. I like it. I like the constant flow of work and fun and Dead Like Me on DVD.

But I am extremley "homesick" for N+V. It's weird. They're not even my family :(.
